About sparKmatiK

sparKmatiK is an independent artist and designer out of Buffalo, New York, home of snow, wings, and apparently a guy who draws monsters every single day.

Before the paint pens there was music: years spent rapping, writing, and performing. The hip-hop never left. It just moved into the linework, and most drawing videos still get cut to a beat.

These days it’s quirky cartoon characters, alien and human skulls, goblins, fuzzy freaks, and other strange creatures, built with acrylic paint pens, fine brush-pen ink, and spray-painted galaxy splatter.

Then there’s the 365 project: one original drawing posted every day for a year, no skips. Every page is a one-of-one, and a lot of them end up right here in the shop.

Twenty small orange cartoon faces — skulls, goblins, a bird, a lizard — painted in rows on white paper, signed sparKmatiK.

Grid of fuzzy blue monster faces with pink eyes — including a skull and a bird — painted on a bright orange-red panel taped to the table.
